SPID and bucket seats

So I'm putting together a 72 blazer and the SPID does not list bucket seats and I'm at the point of doing the interior. I have both utility and the sport buckets and am unsure which would be appropriate for the factory originals. I've only seen a handful of the blazer spid's with the bucket seat option listed and assumed that would be for.the sport buckets?. I've seen promotional literature that shows the blazer came standard with a drivers seat and the passenger and rear seat was a separate option but personally have never seen a single seat blazer.

The utility style buckets were not available in 1972. The non-CST Blazers had a basic non scroll pattern vinyl seat cover.

I would prefer the utility buckets but it appears they were not available for my dark yellow rig

Re: SPID and bucket seats

Photos of my original non-scroll standard seats from my 72 in thread link below. Also curious, based on your SPID you shouldn't have had the center console I think.

Re: SPID and bucket seats

The AN3 RPO code on your spid is what the passenger bucket is listed as. Here is a link to a lot of the RPO codes

Here is a fairly early Flint 1972 Blazer. It was bought new by a fire dept. It has the same RPO AN3 HD Auxiliary seat option.

No thread currently. I located it on Bring a Trailer. It is a neat unit for sure, but the market spoke, as it is not the tarted up CST model with all of the options that most are looking for. I had an Olive 307/3 speed 1972 base blazer that I cut up for parts in 1995. It was a fun one to drive.

Here is the link to this Blazer:
