'77 blazer frame????

I have a chance to buy a cheep '77 blazer 4x4 frame, and my question is, what will I have to do to make a '71 body fit on it? Next question: From the back of the cab to the rear of the frame, how long would that be... is it long enough to fit a longbed box??

Thanks

Its too short but if lengthened it can work
Short 4x4 and 2wheels drives are different too I believe.

How short is too short? I am planning on using this truck on the farm, and I also thought about putting a flatbed on it. If a box wont work, a flatbed will... but how long can I make it?
THanks

I wish I had pics of this truck a kid built here, he took a blazer frame 70 cab and a longbed and cut the front down to fit the frame. we made fun of it and wanted to put stuff in the back and see if it would wheelie.

I believe the blazer is about 6" shorter than a short wheel base truck.

It is shorter. You have to shorten the bed in the front. The rear tires are almost at the back of the cab.

If I decide the make this frame longer, how far do I stretch it, and where is the ideal place to do it at? Also, how much work is it to do this?

If your going to lengthen it your better off just to get a later model truck frame like mudder 67 did.
