Re: remove shift nob

I tried to remove one long time ago and ruined it. Those suckers must be pressed into place while they're still warm from the mold. Either that or they glue them in place so they won't come off.

Re: remove shift nob

Take the handle off and put in boiling water for about 10 minutes then clamp the handle in a vise and quickly wrap a rag around the knob and pull it off.

The knob itself isn't meant to come off. If you look down the shaft to where it mount to the column you will see a pin that needs to be punched out and that will allow you to replace the entire arm. Check LMC truck.com for a replacement part. I've had a lot of luck finding parts with them.
