Straight from the Farm!

Picked up this little jewel today, been on Craigslist for awhile now and couldnt resist when the price got Right! its kind of a neat little truck..I bought it from the second owner that has owned it since 1972. When new it was sent to Parkhurst in Sedalia,MO. where they shortened the frame from 157" to 145" and installed one of there 10' grain beds with fold up stock racks.
Truck is in really good shape since its been in a barn most of its life and has just a little over 43,000 miles. Little 307 with a 4 speed runs great but pretty weak in the brakes so she got trailered the 120 miles home.

Sweet! No matter the style, love these trucks. So does that mean this was purchased originally with no box or was something taken off when new? Just curios.

Nice truck! Those beds were grand when new with the pinstripes.
Did they alter the frame or move the axle forward and chop it. Pictures of the frame would be really great.... Do you need my ship to address for the truck?? :-)

Re: Straight from the Farm!

Plans are to just clean it up a little and use it, I have a lot of fence rows to clean up and this ole girl should work real good for hauling brush. Really do need a 4x4 tho for where I have to go.

Yes it was ordered as a Cab & Chassis truck, meaning it comes with no bed. They came in 133" and 157" wheelbase, I think the 145" custom wheel base fits this truck just right with the 10ft bed.

Tim, it looks like they just altered the frame..took 12" out of the straight section. I've always liked these old stake beds, they didnt have to take the time and expense for all the pinstripe but it really does make a nice looking bed.

The trailer is a 26ft Load Master with low profile drive on fenders...really pulls nice..and youll Love the difference between the goose neck and bumper pull.

Parkhurst is just up the road from where this truck was bought so I'm sure thats why it was chose, Omaha Standard is pretty heavy still in this area and both make a really nice product.

Randy, yep I sold the old 68...almost 10 years to the day of getting it. I was kind of looking for a 1 ton for awhile and then gave up on finding anything decsent around here till this one popped up.

Thanks Joe, I figured you might go look at it as close as it was.

This truck has Gold listed on the SPID as interior color but the dash pad sure looks like Sandalwood to me

That's really a nice truck you have there. I'd bet there's not one like it within 200 miles of me. Well not many anyway..., great find

That is the correct "Gold" color.
This must be a '70.

Keep me posted if it ends up being for sale.
