Tach

I want to put a tach in my Burb. I had a Sun tach recently, it didn't work correctly, and I yanked it out. Anyways, I know I can mount one on the column, but how hard is it to mount a 3 3/8" tach or mini tach in place where the tach should go on the panel?? I haven't pulled my panel out, so I don't know what is behind there. Working 6 days a week at 10-13 hors per day and taking care of 5 kids off and on by myself doesn't leave much time. Just thought I would let you guys know why I don't have as much time as I would like, but none probably ever does.

Thanks for the help. I just seen the back of a gauge cluster in somebody's pics. If I remember correctly, the space for the tach is 3 3/4" wide. A 3 3/8"
tach is probably wide enough to set in there, if mounted from the front. Will the depth be too much to not interfere with the circuit board??
