Re: turbo diesel 57 chevy truck

I saw that truck on the front page of one of the diesel mags a couple months back. I think they had a special feature on diesel transplants into trucks that never had the option of a diesel engine. Some nice rigs in there, although I only flipped through it briefly while the wife shopped for groceries.

I've been thinking about doing a Cummins swap into a '58-'59 short box big back window, and this truck has definitely made me start looking for one to do just that, much to my wife's dismay........ Nice truck for sure!

Like everything about it but the stack. IMOA stacks surve no purpose on a pickup but to make it look retarded and create a burn hazard......

I had a '96 Cummins I used to pull a 28' trailer. The trailer was white, and I couldn't stop myself from building the truck up a bit. Long story short, the passenger front side of the trailer would be black with soot after a weekend trip, so I put a set of stacks on it. Not really a fan of them myself, but my trailer stayed white!
