Never did a restore on one of these before , made for 68 and 69 , it's going to be a challenge finding what parts I will need.

Re: 1969 sea-doo

1969??? wow.

That hull looks great, is there anyway to fit a 'newer' motor in that shell? might be easier that trying to find parts from 1969?

keep us posted on your progress, very cool

Re: 1969 sea-doo

Ski-doo did a recall on the 68's due too them blowing up , the engine compartment wasn't vented enough and any spark ,BOOM
Dealers returned the I.D plate to ski-doo for a refund and the consumer could return theirs to the dealer ( if not blown up) for a refund or a ski-doo snowmobile.
They gave it another shot in 69 by changing their mistakes but sales just were not there.
So that was the end of them till the 80's
I am missing the motor and finding one may be impossible so a updated one could be in order.
The hull is in great shape and even better now after a good compound ,polish and wax.
It is missing the seat , the material is the same as what was used on the ski-doo snowmobile in that year , it will be another hen's tooth to find.
