anti freeze burn on a couple plugs?

I am new to the LS world, but have a 5.3 down to the long block. The bottom looks good, but I question 2 spark plugs, with a little green tint . In my gen I, I would say, yup got a gasket leaking, showing the green tint. This 1 was running orange "coolaid" for the mix. What color does that show up on the spark plugs, if the head gasket is leaking? Help....crazyL

Re: anti freeze burn on a couple plugs?

My parents 1999 350 vortec leaks coolant into #3 and #5. #3 and #5 fouls every few months. The deposits are off white and thick. Green prestone ethylene glycol was used.
Don't know if oil leaks in addition to coolant. I plan to remove head tomorrow.

On the 5.7 vortec, you may find the leaks on the intake gaskets...my brother tore his kids truck down2 times in 40-50,000 miles on intake leaks on my gen I, if she leaks, I see green tint on the plugs.....not familiar with the "orange coolaid", on the gen III & the engine is out of the truck...(best time to fix it)? Re: anti freeze burn on a couple plugs?

I saw some green tint on exhaust valve but I'm feeling like Geraldo because I've yet to find any head gasket leak evidence.

Pretty sure intake gasket was leaking like you said.

Re: anti freeze burn on a couple plugs?

I looked at plugs 1, 3, 5, 7 real close. All have olive green in addition to other colors. May not help since engine had leaky intake. Not sure chance of leaky intake contaminating 4 plugs.

No, that would be a real trick? After the intake is off, its not that much more work to pull the heads (and easyier to do the job only 1 time) Crazy L
