My First truck
hi i am 15 and i want to get an 85 or 87 shorty. i want to put a 4" rough country lift with 2" body lift and 35" tires. is that a good idea? i also want to get some new looking rims waht modern rims would fit an 85 or 87 k10? i want blask with chrome outside. i was also wondering how i could make the motor more gas freindly i want to rebuild whatever it comes with probs a 350. give me your opinions thanks!

Sounds like it would be a really nice truck. Anything from 73-87 would be awesome in my opinion. But if it were me, I'd stay away from the body lift. Welcome to the forum.

35's and gas mileage dont go together. Maybe look into a 6.2 diesel but they aint exactly fast... good mileage to boot though. I would also stay away from a body lift. 35's will fit with the 4.. trim a little if you go offroad.
