Parting Out 1972 C10 Custom Deluxe
Hi guys, I'm parting out a 1972 Chevy 1/2 ton. I'll upload some pictures soon.
The smaller parts I can ship nationwide in a USPS Flat Rate box, bigger stuff probably close by only (NW WA), unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for shipping. So, I've got a pretty rusty stripped cab. If you want metal pieces cut out of it, let me know before it gets scrapped. Really nice uncut A/C dash panel. A little surface rust on the inside and top, and needs a bit of straightening where I cut the spot welds. $100 Good TH350 auto tranny. Has about 155,000 miles, shifted fine when the truck was running 5 years ago. $250 Decent gas tank (at least looks good from the outside). $75 Good glass except windshield. Back window (not slider)- $75, Full set door glass and vent windows $100 Gauge cluster, no tach, no vacuum, but has oil pressure, temp, and alternator. Everything on the cluster worked before I gutted the truck. $30 *No front end parts. The front end is sold.* Tilt column and radio sold. Trim sold. Lots more...! Just ask, and I'll take pictures. And yes, I have PayPal. Thanks!

Also interested in the tilt, but you should read the rules about posting parts for sale.

Wes- Sorry about that, please excuse the newbie. Mike, Wes, Steve- I'd like $75 for the tilt steering column. Like I said, the wheel is pretty bad. The hazard switch is broken, shifter needle is broken. No horn button. The turn signals worked before pulled, shifted fine, tilt works fine. The signal and tilt levers need replaced. I had to cut the single gray wire, but it has a good long length. The big connector is intact.

Re: Parting Out 1972 C10 Custom Deluxe
asolde: I've got the bracket. $10 shipped.
PICKMUP: I'm not sure about the rear end. Pretty sure it's not posi. How can you tell what ratio it is? Also, I've got a guy locally who might be interested. I'll keep you posted. jpmanyhearts: The floor pans are pretty trashed. I'll get you pictures in the morning. Fatherof3: I'd sell you the top thin pieces, fender, door, cab corner, bed side. Also, large black lower pieces, fender, door, cab corner, bed side. I'd throw in the Custom Deluxe/ 10 emblems if you wanted 'em. I'd even give you the door edge guards. I'll take pictures in the morning.

Re: Parting Out 1972 C10 Custom Deluxe
Mike, Thank you for the thought. It's realy no big deal to me. Just go ahead and take it. You expressed interest first. If you changed you mind about wanting it, I would take it. No worries on my part. Where my frustration comes from is probably more from a sellers standpoint. I as a seller list something for sale. Someone immediately responds I am "interested" to be the first in line. Then if all the plannets align correctly, the shipping isn't more than he wants to pay, and the wife doesn't cut him off for spending money then he comes back and claims the part. However if one of the plannets is slightly out of allignment, the shipping makes the total cost of the part more than he is willing to pay, or his wife says no, then he says sorry pass it along to the next in line. Then you consider you have 10 more guys posting i'm "interested" in the same part and when it gets to each of their turns they have to wait for the same set of circumstances to work for them or they have to pass. Meanwhile the seller waits and hopes that someone's plannets align, shipping doesn't add too much to the cost, or his wife gives her blessing so he can sell his part. Now all the sudden it's 2 weaks later, everybody passes after saying i'm interested and the seller is left holding the part while the seriouse buyer has moved on.
This is why I'll take it is important. Shipping is what it is, the plannets are where they are, and well the wife thing just isn't the sellers problem. He just want to sell his part as soon as possible so he can pay his bills, or maybe by a different part he wants for his project. I was just as guilty of my own pet peave in this post because the seller didn't post the price. I didn't say I'll buy it if the price is right and then wait on the sellers responce to seal or not seal the deal. It is also why once I saw the price, I jumped right in with I'll take it. WES

Re: Parting Out 1972 C10 Custom Deluxe
Here are radio pics. It has the slightest pitting on the "GM" face. No rust on it from what I can tell. It goes through the dial freely. And the station preset buttons seem to function correctly. The wires on the back are cut. I've got the knobs and hardware.
If you're serious, I'd go $42 on it ($30 for the radio, $12 for shipping in a Flat Rate box).

No problem on the emblem. Any chance you have a brake booster and mount/linkage? Thanks

Re: Parting Out 1972 C10 Custom Deluxe
BowDown916: On the rear you mean? It's a coil spring rear. I've got a guy here in NW WA possibly wanted the diff, but yes, I still have the control arms. Tomorrow I'm gonna pull the bed off, then I'll get back to you.
mtnbikerxt: Sorry, I sold the booster and mount today. But I have the brake pedal assembly.
