New guy with a new guy question
Hello. I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Tom, I live in central Wisconsin. I don't have a truck yet but looking at building one in the near future. My Grandpa had a 67 C10, and get this my Uncle is still driving it year round... Poor truck. I plan on restoring that one when my Uncle's done with it... if ever -- it won't stop running
Anyways... on to my questions. There is a 68 stepside frame for sale locally. 1) Is there any difference between the stepside frame and the fleetside frame? 2) Also does anyone know the length of a longbed frame vs. a shortbed frame? I would like to go look at it and know what I'm looking at Thanks, Tom |

Welcome to the board!!
Question #1. No they are the same thing just with a different bed on them. Question #2. The short wheel base is 115". And long wheel base is 127". They are measured from center to center of the front and rear axles. So as for overall length from bumper to bumper the short wheel base is 188. 5" and the long wheel base is 207 3/4". I hope this helps!!!
