chevy consoles with cupholders

did chevy make a center console like the ones found in trucks with buckets but instead of pockets to hold the lapbelt they had cupholders? did they come in a specific truck?

Re: chevy consoles with cupholders

gm did make them, and installed them in blazers, burbs, and pickups starting in 76 or so.

Re: chevy consoles with cupholders

do they look like a 72 console and bolt into a 72 pickup?

and one in my '70 longhorn.
I prefer these over the 'correct' one... seatbelts belong buckled in your lap... but you can't expect to hold your dew for hundreds of miles.

Don't have one personally, so I cannot comment on what type of quality it is, but the price isn't bad and it's brand new.

Re: chevy consoles with cupholders

The LMC one is a knock-off.The GM ones are actually fairly easy to come across since every K/5 had one and bucket seats were an option in the trucks and Suburbans.then, there are the square cup hole consoles used through`91.They bolt in also. That covers 73-91,lots of consoles. They are cheaper than the seatbelt design.

Re: chevy consoles with cupholders

I bought the LMC one and it's a nice unit. It's made out of a different plastic then the stock ones. It's a little more flexable so it's not likely to crack but LMC claims you cannot paint this type of plastic, so that might be a problem for some.
