Building A Short, Box... The Whole Box
Is it possible to get ALL after market to build a short box from scratch? I had a long box 72, but chopped the frame down. I was going to cut my long box up and throw some after market sides on and call it good, but the box is in such good condition i cant bring myself to doing it. I've looked at LMC and they have Cross Sills for a wood box (thats what i want, stock for the truck is steel), and i know they have box sides, inner fender wells, Front bed panels, and tailgates, but is that all i need? I know i also need wood, and chrome strips if anyone can tell me a good stop to get them too. Thanks alot!!!!!!

Yes, and Scott's in Penhold is a Mar-K dealer. I do not think MAr-k handles the short bed sides anymore, but I am sure Scott will have found another source.
Scott's has a webpage, http://www.scottssupertrucks.com/ but it is not the best and he does not answer email very well. Phone them at Phone: (403) 886-5572 or 1-800-GMC-CHEV (Toll Free - Canada Only) I purchased a complete short bed for my 59 GMC from Scott's and have talked with them about a 68-72 short bed as I am working on and driving a 69 now. By the way, welcome from Fort Smith NT.....

Mar-K will have everything but the bedsides- top notch stuff also. I'm using their sills, polished strips, oak, and hardware kit and everything was flawless

Most of the BB vendors can hook you up also.If you can catch one at a swap meet or show near you, there's a possibility you could save shipping. It may cost 1 1/2 times the parts by the time you ship.
