86 SWB Fleetside Bed Differences

I ordered a repair panel for the back drivers side of my bed and it didn't match up to my bed. As shown in the picture the first raised rib is wide like all of the other ribs except the next one to the right. The spacing is different as well between the 1st and the 2nd. Does anyone else have one like mine? If not, do you have any idea how I happened to get this one. It appears to be original. Just curious. Thanks for any input.

Anyone else have any input. TKCR said her 86 SWB was different than mine.

The 73-80 bed floors are different than the 81-87. You must have received the wrong year patch.

KrazyRay, are you saying mine is correct for the 86. It is all one piece with 1 small ridge. I bought it from Tabco out of Cleveland and they advertise the panel for 73-87. I told him it didn't work so he had me return and paid the return shipping as well. He is going to question anyone that orders it to make sure it fits.

I went out and looked again, I had only peeked under the right side, I have a carpeted bedliner. The right side, which is the side I looked on, all the ridges are the same size. Then I went to the left side and looked under the carpet. The left side has the 2nd ridge that is narrower than the rest.

Sorry for the mis-information! When I was reading through the post again, I thought, maybe I should look at both sides and not assume they are the same on both sides. And the left side does look like yours.

Hers the right side. As you can see, which is kind of hard because of the carpet. But the ridges are the same size.

The left side. That ridge is smaller than the rest.

Sorry again, I needed to take a closer look at both sides.

Thanks TKCR. That kind of clears it up for me. I don't get to see many 86's so I'm learning what is correct and not as I go. Like the looks of your carpet in your bed. Saw your earlier post. Thanks again

Re: 86 SWB Fleetside Bed Differences

I just walked out and checked mine: it has the narrow rib as well, like in the original post.

Mine is an '87 (original box, final assembly location was Flint Michigan).

My '90 crew cab has the same one small rib on the left side. Sorry I didn't take any pictures.
