67-72 Front Crossmember

I need to find a straight and solid front crossmember. It not the engine & suspension support crossmember. I'm looking for the structural brace forward of that for frame support.

This is my broken and bent one now.

Re: 67-72 Front Crossmember

Is the metal is split next to that hole on the bottom or is that something else?

If it's split, where do I send the money?

That's a piece of wire tied on there, send me your zip and I can get a shipping quote. Pp works for me if you have that, if not money order works also.

That worked out well. Post a WTB for a 67-72 part on the Pre-47 parts board and bingo! No point in moving now I guess

Re: 67-72 Front Crossmember

The funny thing is that was the post showing on the main page since 10/15 and it just caught my eye yesterday. Before looking at the post it made me wonder if maybe guys were doing 67-72 truck clips on Advance Designs

The irony in what you just said, I convinced my dad to use one on his. Doing a cummins swap and needed a good suspension setup that kept it 8 lug. A 5/8 steel plate on each side used as a shim, drill a few holes, put on a rack and pinion and done!!! Frame rails have the same taper front to back just 1.25” narrower is all.
