goldie got a brand new coat
this is a customers truck. fawn beige color inside and out.
its a california rust free 66 with fac. air and has a 283 with bolt action and posi. we're in the final assembly stage and he seems real pleased. nothing like a happy customer to make your day. |

Nice, the Fawn color really looks good on these trucks.
Did the customer request the black behind the grille? The factory white surround with black behind the grille really pops, IMO. Like this... |

yeah, i agree with the white surround and chrome grill... nothing better.
but somewhere i remember something about the customer is always right. ha. and since theres no other white on goldie plus with only black and chrome accents, maybe its ok. i did add a gold pinstripe to break up the contrast a little... |

I agree, though--couldn't live with that black paint around the grill where the white should be. |

here she is as brian picked her up. a fun project for a cool guy. now headed west. and yes, we redid the grill surround without the black.
