Post Number ONE
Hi guys! I thought it was about time I join in the fun here on the board. I have been lurking about the boards for awhile now just soaking in all the great info.
The 67-72 trucks happen to be my personal favorites and who doesn't need a few toys. My ride is a 70 1/2ton Suburban. It is a Cali truck and was born and lived most of its life there. The PO did most of the work you see in the pics. He did what I would consider a ok job on the paint and interior. When funds allow I want to redo most of it. As it sits I think it looks pretty decent and I have a ball driving around in it. I'm in the process of getting full seatbelts into it for family cruising. I also ordered a 3"/4" drop with new shocks and sway bars (backordered argh!!). I also have a complete, but somewhat rusty 72 Suburban for parts. In the near future the 5 lug frt disc and rear will be swapped into the 70. The current rear is a very tall gear (3,000 rpm @ 55+/-) and it needs to go. Hiding in the corner of my garage is a 454 out of a 76 truck I might just throw in. I hope to be here awhile and gather knowledge (and parts) as often as I can. Later, Aaron
