Re: One piece window kits

No Limit Engineering had a kit for the 64-5-6 but I've heard that they weren't too good. I don't know if they still offer them or not.

Re: One piece window kits

There is a company called One Piece Windows.....or something like that, that makes kits for the '67-'72's and the '73-'87's but I don't think they have anything for the 64-5-6's. Maybe if enough guys inquired about them they would consider making them.

Re: One piece window kits

No......they are rather tricky to do. There is a board member that was working on this, but he didn't get it finished to my knowledge. I believe he is working on another project now. I don't know if any of the aftermarket will ever produce a kit for these.

Windows that are wider at the top than they are at the bottom make rolling them down tricky. That's what you'd have eliminating the vent window on a '60-'63 with a one piece window. With the 4-5-6's, the window would be wider at the bottom than at the top. Converting that to a one piece window makes rolling them down a non-issue, just a glass and hardware manufacturing issue.

Re: One piece window kits

Another issue with one-piece windows is the door check interfering with the wider window track.

I contacted One Piece Windows at the end of last year and the guy there told me that they were going to start making the 4-5-6 kit in spring of 09'. I'm going to dig up that email and see if I can get an answer from him. Their web site still doesn't list 4-5-6 as an option. I'll post his response when I get it.
