Yet Another Turn Signal Question(s)

A few questions here (yes, I searched)...

I have replaced the instrument cluster in my 63 with a billet insert and custom gauges. I have everything wired correctly except the turn signal indicators. Since my 63 came with only ONE indicator that flashes either right or left, how do I get them to work separate? (the kit has a L & R indicator) I would think just running a wire from the "switched" side of each signal circuit would work but I'm not sure... any ideas?

I am pretty sure the springs a junk in my aftermarket turn signal switch (both sides quit flashing when brake is applied) and I'm looking for a replacement. Who sells a better quality unit?
