Spindles

I was wondering will 71-72 disk brake spindles will work on my 69 without modifcations. I just got a set of Rally wheels (will post pics later) and I need to go from 6 lug to 5.

Thanks

Yes. but you need to changes upper and lower ball joints to 71-2 and use inner tie rods for outer and get inner tie rods for 71-2. You will also need the adapter to connect the new tie rod configuration. Vendors have them...have fun

Dangit!!
Still sounds like extra work. I figured that would be easier than installing 73-87 spindles becaause 71-72 is the same bodystyle.

You could always buy a set of 63-70 standard or drop disk brake conversion spindles. Then you could put the 5 lug setup on it. We have them in stock. then you can install them with your ball joints and tie rod ends. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Ya I did my '70 and it was alot of work.
Also(forgot to add) you will need to change the master/booster to a 71-2 along with the correct prop valve and brake lines.

It got a little costly even using used parts where I could.

If you decide to tackle it and need help or advise PM me.

I was trying to keep the cost down seeing that money is an issue right now.
But it seems to me that I might as well just buy them new.
