Look what I found!!!

An auto wrecker right across the freeway from me that specializes in 1940-1979 Chevy trucks!! I saw a few 67-72 suburbans and lots of pickups.

Make sure you call the lady first, she doesn't let a bunch of people cruise around in there

Re: Look what I found!!!

That wrecking yard is by telephone and appointment only. Not open to anybody that wants to walk in and snoop around

I'll bet the prices are $$$. That's why that stuff is still setting there.

Exactly. I can go on the board here or craigslist and find anything I want for my truck. I'm not going to make an appointment to go to a junkyard where they obviously know the value and more than likely inflate the prices.

Re: Look what I found!!!

You should have seen that place about 25-30 years ago. It was solid cars in the pic shown, all in and around every tree, up and over the hill in the back. Place was packed with vehicles going back at least 60+ years

Re: Look what I found!!!

There is a closed junk yard just down the road from me that some guys can still get in and they have hundreds of cars/trucks still in there ,I saw a '70 Monte Carlo SS thats still in great shape ,Only problem is it would take a week to get it out of where it's sitting with trees grown up and cars stacked right next to each other with no access anymore .They continue to pull a few out to the main road to sell and it will take years to clean them all out . .
