long lost high school sweetheart

Hello Everybody,
After a long, long search, I finally located my first true love[67 c-10]. I sold her over eighteen years ago, and a month ago i found her sitting behind a barn up in northern Alberta, Canada. $500.00 bucks and a u-haul and she's back where she belongs. I know its her by the single .45 cal bullet hole in the tail gate[left over from a good date gone wrong... or I should say a GREAT date gone wrong]. I even found an old zippo lighter of mine under the seat.
I'll tell ya, it overwhelmed me how the smell of an old truck[spilled beer and stale cigarettes] can bring great memories flooding back. The owner said that the truck and not been started in over 15 years, but I put in a new battery, changed the fuel filter and gave her a snort of fresh fuel and she fired up and drove onto the trailer slick as snot.
I have wanted this particular truck back for several years now, and now that she's back home I'm going to build what I've always wanted. When i was a kid, my older brother drove a 69 c-10 that he had built with a 396 from a totaled chevelle and an m-21 transmission. I have never forgotten how that truck looked, sounded, and felt as it pushed you back in your seat when he rowed though the gears. Now i'm gonna do what i should have done to begin with. She's going to need just about everything in the sheet metal department, but all I've got is time.
Thanks for all the great bodywork threads, especially the ones on cab floor replacement. Look forward to gathering wisdom, and sharing info with y'all in the future.
Later, chvtrk67
