Moog Quality

I was surprised to find that Moog brand front end parts from Rock Auto were actually cheaper than the Parts Master brand at my local Bumper to Bumper store. I had heard that Parts Master was much cheaper than Moog. Has Moog's quality gotten bad?

Re: Moog Quality

Just make sure to check the shipping charges when ordering multiple parts from RockAuto. Sometimes, even related parts (ie, cooling system) will be shipped from multiple warehouses....and you pay for that. There is a separate shipping charge for each warehouse tapped for your order.

Re: Moog Quality

So if Moog has moved overseas, their quality may have diminished. If you all were to buy front end parts today, what brand would you buy? I know in the past it would hands down be Moog.

Re: Moog Quality

The parts master at one time were reboxed moog stuff. When I last worked in parts at least this was true. Rock auto buys in huge bulk much like walmart and so they can sell at a lower price than even some chains.

Re: Moog Quality

My K10 is getting outfitted now with new front end components all Moog. The shop it's at specializes in 4wd trucks and has been in business many years here in NM. The guys recommend Moog.

Re: Moog Quality

I put moog stuff under my truck and I was and am very happy with the quality of products, I got my FE rebuild kit from ECE, it was cheaper that the parts places around me including shipping, so I jumped.
