Post Thoughts on Longhorns

I believe it was Fast who said the Longhorns had the same 40" spring centers as the 4 wheel drives, and my '70 Longhorn parts truck has 2 1/2" wide rear springs, just like the 4x4s. Seems like the Longhorn chassis is just crying out to be converted to 4 wheel drive with crossmembers and brackets. Anybody else notice this?

Yes, they do have a 40" spacing. The chassis are the same as a 30 series cab /chassis......nothin like buildin a rod on a dump truck frame!.......69

FINALLY got the HORNIAC...a '70 one ton Longhorn with a Pontiac 350/350 and lots of 'personality'. Check out The Longhorn Webite.
