350 and 200r4 swap
Have a 65 c10 with a chevy 250/ turbo 350 in it right now. A buddy is giving me his chevy 350/200r4 from his nova. From what I have read around from a few forms is that the chevy 350 will bolt right up with motor mount. I have also seen that the 200r4 and turbo 350 basically the same. Has anyone ever done that swap? Thanks in advance.

Re: 350 and 200r4 swap
Not all TH350s are the same. I did a TH350 to 200R4 swap. Driveline had to be shortened as the TH350 was longer. Check length of your TH350 first, compare that to the 200R4.
Oh and yes its really worth it. I used a switch activated by the brake pedal to turn off the torque convertor lock up feature. It locks up at around 40 mph. Adjust the cable correctly to shift nicely. Mileage went from 9-10 mpg with 3.73 posi gears to 14-15 mpg. |
