Re: Best Superbowl Ad Ever...

GM had a previous SB ad with a square body truck. It's been a few years though. In Levis commercials, Bret Farve is driving one. GM didn't include a 90's model!!

Only one thing I liked more than the square body.

Re: Best Superbowl Ad Ever...

Did you guys see that before the superbowl Ford had seen this commercial and was upset with it, they even asked GM not to air this commercial, and they asked NBC not to air the commercial too. But obviously like many other Ford things this didn't work.

Great truck ad, loved it.
Can't believe that Dirty Harry did the ad for Dodge/Chrysler. Especially after one of his latest hits was titled after a Ferd...

Re: Best Superbowl Ad Ever...

One thing funny about ford vs gm is ford does sell more trucks but if you count chevy and gmc sells together its more then ford.I won't lie i like both companies trucks but for a new truck id take a super duty over anything gm,I just not a fan of a ifs 4x4 if gm would make a 3/4 ton or bigger with a solid front axle id think hard about it.

Re: Best Superbowl Ad Ever...

^ yeah, but the IFS vs SFA depends a lot on how the truck is to be used.
I don't offroad at all, no climbing or anything like that. IFS is great if all you need is traction in the slick stuff.
One of the stupid car shows ran 'em all through some paces to determine which is the best truck of the Big 3. Dodge was waaaay under powered. The IFS doomed the Ford on a gravel incline, that heavy SOB just sank and stopped.

Re: Best Superbowl Ad Ever...

Yeah a ifs does ride better on the roads but working on them is a pain i had to replace all 4 ball joints on my brothers 01 f150 4x4.If you mean this show the ford in that video is solid axle the chevy/gmc is the only ifs on a 3/4 ton or bigger.

Re: Best Superbowl Ad Ever...

LOVED the Commercial... MY ONLY crab about it.... I wish they'da Used One of every body style..... not just the Square and the New Bodystyles.... Of Course the On Pulling outta the Rubble Should be the Brand New one but every bodystyle should have been rep'd cause of the line they used... Just My Opinion though... As for the Twinkie thing... I just Chalked it up to the "Twinkies Could Survive The Nuclear Apocalypse Thing" That Was So Popular awhile ago
