Bonneville pics

Dirtball and I had a blast, we were only able to be there two days because of work, but it still was great. If you're into cars at all you have to put it on your to-do list. The weather was great and the worst part of the trip was losing $40 in six minutes playing craps at the Peppermill.
The truck ran like a top and we never even opened the hood on it during the trip. We didn't bother to calculate mileage because that's not what it's about taking a trip in a vehicle like that, but we both felt it did pretty well. It was about 550 miles each way.
These are only some of the pics of traveling, the salt itself, the car show at the Nugget, and pics of my truck. Hope you enjoy.

Outside Rock Springs, Wy.

Heading towards Salt Lake-

Almost there-

The Discovery Channel was filming a show called "Motor Mania: Bonneville", it will air in Dec or Jan.

Cool cars all around-

Re: Bonneville pics

Looks like a great time! It's been years since I've been to speed week, sad really, since I'm so close. We do go to Bendover semi-often. I think it's easier to just send them a check. That picture of Parley's Canyon-just before Salt Lake-you passed within a half mile of my place about 20 minutes before you took that. For the last 16 months or so, I have been working in Wyoming and I drive past those windmills everyday. They are new, they just started going in last summer. I have never seen all of them work at the same time yet. I'm sure it's a huge job getting them all hooked up right. Either that, or the same electricians I have on my job are doing that one too.

I used to have to drive Parley's Canyon every night - I lived in Heber City and worked in Salt lake. Very interesting at 3:00 in the morning with a foot of snow on the ground and no cars in site, but my '71 Volvo was like a tank, and with the studded snows I never put on chains. Thanks for sharing the pictures! Some really nice cars.
