The Mark IV from Vintage Air is here!

My underdash Mark IV is finally here. I know it wont keep the whole Suburban super cool and I know there were other options but I want to keep it looking as original as possible and it is not like I will be using it a ton. Everything looks great though and really excited to get it in.

Re: The Mark IV from Vintage Air is here!

Look forward to seeing it installed. This is the kit I've been considering for my '66 C-10.

Definitely feeling like the guinea pig of the bunch. I have been waiting for anyone else on here to take the plunge but it looks like it should come together smoothly. The support I have gotten so far from Wheels of Time has been great and I am hoping when all is said and done this thing will pump out ice cubes and we will all be happy.

Re: The Mark IV from Vintage Air is here!

Definitely the one I have been considering for my panel... but I guess I need to get it on the road before I really need A/C. LOL

Post up how it installs and works.

Re: The Mark IV from Vintage Air is here!

I just got done installing a vintage air under dash unit in my 65, it was a very smooth install and works excellent.

The way they engineered the condensor to hook up in front of the radiator is really nice.

I was just thinking that I need to start saving for this for next spring(it's only 92° today). I will definitely be following this!

The evaporator and dryer in front of the radiator was a really nice design, and easy install. I'm going to pull the grill off and paint it all black, now that it's all done and working correctly.

I'm going to make a nice plate for where the hoses run into the interior, I just haven't done it yet. A proper bulkhead would definately be nicer.

If I ever went back to A/C that's the one I'd want in addition to my stock economy heater.
