$1100 to spend

I have $1100 to spend, and of course it's goin to the truck. 600 of it is for posi and gears. That leaves $500. What should I get?

Gauges?
Ignition?
Cowl Hood?

I'd bet that if you searched around you could do the cowl hood and maybe the ignition too. Did you just plan on a msd box or something more thorough?

I would go with the cowl hood before the ignition. I am looking for a cowl hood now also, so if you find a good place to buy, let me know.

If you got the Crate 350 from GM then Id change out the heads. Some Vortecs would do that motor some real good

The rearend is going to be a godsend for your motor, you can prolly shave almost a second off your ET. With the leftover money, I say fix little things that might be buggin you. I wouldnt waste any money on a cowl hood personally.

You can get a package deal from Scoggins-Dickey on intake and heads for a pretty good price if I remember right. Check it out.

I'll do the Vortecs in a couple of months. As soon as we sell our house, I can do a few more things to the truck.

I would say ...put it back...hold on to it for a bigger load to blow at once on the truck.
In my case...right now I would prolly set it aside to save up for a house. Im trying to do that now but MOD fever is hard to get over!! Do they make a pill for that?? haha

I would get gauges. You want to make sure everything is running perfect and a set of Autometer would be the way to go.
