#2 wheel swap info factory + Aftermarket??

First, What is the best backspace in "'s for a 1982 Chve 2WD SWB PU, I'd like to gop 15X10 and not hit the back fenders opening.
Second another thought occurs to me that maybe ,just maybe . That later model larger styled alum. car or truck wheels may swap onto my 82 2WD (5" Bolt circle), Like a 16" or taller as a cheap alternative to custom wheels.
Third what truck would have older ,IF any, 15x8 steel rally styled truck wheels(many small slots)

1. 5" backspacing on a 10" wide wheel should be fine. Maybe 5.5 if you have a large drop. I'm assuming you are not planning on running a 10" wide wheel in the front.

2. About the only thing I can think of that bolts up is caprice wheels. They aren't very attractive.

3. As far as I know, all trucks equipped with rally wheels were 15x8. Vans were 15x7.

I think the ones on my truck are 15x7, Have to check. So far all I can find in 15x8 are the 6 lug wheels. In a perfect world i'd like to use 15x9 or 15x10 wheels in back. 15x6 in front but I cannot find a maker for 6" or 10" wide rallys. (Wheel Vint. does not sell them). I am planning on using 10" tread width (section width would be a bit wider) DOT sticky tires on the back w 6" tread width on the front (ala drag car style, yes, I use an adjustable proportioning valve), I may end up going to car style rally as they are avail in amost endless combinations.

OR going to a touring style wagon wheels (my term for those 17 to 19" biggies)

the 6 1/2 rallies are found on vans and in some cases trucks had 7" rallies but most had 8's

my truck has 15x8's all around, and my 81 does as well, if going with a big small combo, use some van rallies up front, they are 15x6.5 or 15x7, and, a 15x10 out back, wheel vintiques does actually sell them, but they ask 127 plus shipping, summit racing has them cheaper at 105 each plus shipping

they have them in 5, and 4.5 backspacing, hope this helps some
