Are GMC and Chevy bumper brackets differnt?
I am trying to mount a 69 Chevy bumper on my 72 gmc and its not even close on lining up, do i have to fab my own or do I just use stock 72 bumper brackets? This is for the chrome smooth bumper.

You should use the stock 69 Chevy brackets, they are shorter, the 71-72 brackets are longer to clear the marker lights that are in the bumper, the center brackets are all the same.

Re: Are GMC and Chevy bumper brackets differnt?
The 69 bumper i have only has the center top brackets and they are long, there isn't even holes in my frame where the brackets have there holes in them. I have 2 holes on the top of my frame that sit about 4'' in if i remember correctly these brackets have there holes about 6'' in. I am not using any other brackets just the center top ones.
