New Paint The 2011 Version

I sprayed it about a month ago, but finally cleaned it up a little this week. There are a couple panels I want to re-do, but I'll deal with that when I have the time. The paint is Nason acrylic enamel single stage. I used the same product the last time I painted and it held up pretty well. It's a great low cost alternative. This is the third time I've painted it since I put it on the road in '97. I had gotten sick of running around in primer. It's nice to be shiny again.

Re: New Paint The 2011 Version

You've probably posted this info before, but could you tell me about your suspension set up and what size tires those are front and rear?

I really like the stance and tire wheel selection.

Re: New Paint The 2011 Version

The stance is cool. The wheel set-up is cool. The material budget is realistic. This is definitely something a blue-collar guy can appreciate.

Nice job!

I love it man! I was thinking of doing that wheel combo on my 71 DD not sure how black wheels would look against the yellow.

Thank you, you've got me and my urban camouflage figured out. lol I was going for the subtle, sleeper vibe. I get a lot of double takes.

Thanks! I love them too. Those are quiet pipes. I've got big cadillac mufflers tucked up under the cab. You can still hear the headers, and camshaft, but the exhaust note is subdued with no resonance. It makes a real difference when I'm running down the freeway at 3200 rpm.

No prob, It's dropped 2F/4R springs only. 1 1/4" swaybar on neoprene bushings, shortened panhard, relocated rear shock mounts, and heavy duty gas shocks all around. The tires are 255/70/15 BFG's on eight inch wheels with four inch back set. It handles great. It feels like driving a stock car. Everything clears fine with no rubs anywhere.

Thanks, It's all about the stance! I'll always like big fat tires tucked into the wheel wells of these trucks.

Thank You. Small things like shaved emblems, a little chrome, and tint go a long way. Less is more.

Thanks, Flat black is like suicide out here in this desert. lol people do it though. Go figure? I got on the white kick about 15 years ago. It was right about the same time I moved to Nevada. It's so much cooler that it's only logical. It suits me

I was stoked to find these! They're kinda rare.

Thanks, I had to go with black. White wheels would be too much, and the black really makes the hubcaps stand out.
