Mysterious master cylinder leak
I have a mid 80's chev dual MC on my truck . I totaly cleaned the outside and let the truck sit. Even with the level approx 3/16 from the top it seeps out from between the lid and body. I don't know how...Any thoughts. Besides seaking medical help

Leaky master cylinder
Either the rubber seal in the top is bad Or you still have it to full

sometimes taking 200grit sandpaper and lightly sanding the top of the master will cure the problem

my 79 had the same problem. I changed the cover gasket & the leak stopped. I got a good quality one from GM because I didnt want any hassles with a cheap offshore one.

Try the fine sandpaper. I puy it on a small piece of 2x4. You will see the low spots fast. Use some paper towel to soak up the break fluid then stuf some in there to keep the dirt out.
