Best deal on truck/parts you missed!

Ok guys, I'm just sittin here stewing because I was a couple days late on a deal for a wrecked 71 short fleet. It had a great cab with new seals and glass, and included a new set of bucket seats, as well as the factory ac parts in place and the compressor to boot. 5 lug factory power discs. The fleet bed was in good condition and it had the firebird style marker lights in good shape to. Tilt colum. the gauge cluster with individual gauges insted of idiot lights...and so on and so on. Why was it such a good deal? Hows $300 sound? And come to find out, I could have bought the whole truck with a running 350/350 combo and a set of cragar wheels and tires for $800....To make me feel better I thought maybe you have a better / bad tale of missed opportunity....
