How much trouble didja have mounting the body on the new chassis? My friend wants to do this with a half ton and you're the first I have seen to do it.

The only problem that we encountered is that I started with a '92 cab and chassis one ton, which came from the factory with a really narrow and high frame behind the cab, in all reality the box on this truck should have been channelled more to allow the whole truck to sit down lower, but time doesn't permit that scope of work right now.

Please explain the 4 speed setup...
Is that a NV4500?
And what is that housing mounted to the back of the transmission? Overdrive?
Is the black round object last seen a drum parking brake? Why not a disk parking brake?

That must be an incrediable amount of hours in that project!

I'm going to have to check all of that out for you, I am going to be back under the truck on Saturday, if the fiance lets me as we have a Jack N' Jill that night, oh well not until 8:00 p.m. I know that the parking brake is on the rear end in the drums, not like the big trucks on the transmission. Also I do know that the transmission is HEAVY DUTY and has the ports set up for a P.T.O.

We are going to keep the original fleetside ones and put LED lights on the front and rear of the stepside fenders to mark how wide they are. The driver's side stepside fender is off of a '67 so there isn't a side marker light on it to keep, hooray one less hole to fill.

The truck is really long, just fits on our drive on hoist (both width and length). As for the colour it is going inferno red pearl metallic (base clear). The wheel are going to be stock with chrome caps and rings. Much like 67_c-30's truck.

I am so excited. The front seats are mounted and the wiring harness is in. Won't be long now until it will be mobile under its own power. I will post some pics of the interior shortly. The main body should be painted this week I hope.
