Leaf Springs on 71 Chevy C-10
I need to replace a few leafs on my 71 Chevy C-10 LWB. A previous owner heated them to lower it and they are rubbing on a bed crosspiece. As I look on parts sites I am finding the leaf springs are the same from 1971 to 1998. Are the leafs interchangeable through this entire range of years?

i could be wrong (and if i am someone please correct me) but i think 67-72 have 2 1/4 inch wide leafs, while 73 and up were 2 1/2 inches wide.

RedBaron you are correct. 73 on up will not fit

Why can't he use the 73 and up springs? He could use wider saddles couldn't he?!

yes he can use the 73 up springs. you will need the spring perches from 73 up axle. check the FAQ section im sure there is a write up posted there
