Jimmy production numbers?

As the (69-72) Jimmys seem a bit more rare does anybody happen to have production numbers for these (or a link to somewhere that does)?

I am checking out a 1970 Jimmy this weekend and was looking for more information-

Thanks for the 'Welcome' - I have been a lurker for some time, but figured I would join since I was looking seriously now for something to tinker on and would likely have questions that you all have already been through...

You need to look at the rocker boxes under the doors, the windsheild frame,
and the rear qtr. panel areas between the doors and the rear wheels. These
seem to be the worst areas for "Undiscovered Rust" and can cost you alot a
$$$ down the road. Where are you in Ohio? What price range are you in?

I am in Toledo - checking out a 1970 Jimmy in Columbus - looking in the $2500-$4000 range - depending on condition. I want something I can drive when I want (I don't off road - yet) and fix things here and there cosmetically to bring it up to par. I have some pix that I could post if you wanted to see what I was considering - if that would help me decide one way or another.

Driver side rocker has already been replaced (with a patch panel), and passenger side needs it as well (just hasn't been done yet - comes with the replacement piece though). Floors and over rear wheel wells are solid and original though.

Windshield frame at top has some rust, but not sure of the extent yet (doesn't Goodmark make a replacement piece for this ~$100) - I will see more this weekend. Has anybody tried to fix this issue using the GoodMark piece?

I will have to check the rust issues in the mentioned spots while I am looking it over, but I remember the rest of the tub being solid. I will also check the cowl - since the last old truck that I had was punished with pine needle-itis so it leaked, but that was a Ford beater truck for hauling wood and other junk.

He mentioned that it eventually need doors, a new tailgate, and a few other things - but that it could be driven while it was being restored (since I don't plan on doing all of these things in one shot anyway).

I just don't know where to start finding somewhat solid pieces that I can use to exchange the rusty parts for...besides LMC, etc.

I have a garage with space so this won't be sitting outside rusting away in the mean time.

I look forward to asking plenty of questions along the way - I just wish I knew somebody local to me who did some welding on the side (like a passenger side rocker). I haven't looked into the local trade school (for a intro class) - since they only mail out the schedule twice a year.

No windshield frame pieces, period. You'll be stuck finding a solid donor or rebuilding it from scratch. Frames seem to be getting harder to find by the day. Mine is rotted out so bad that chunks fall out every time I drive it.

Good luck with your Jimmy hunting! BTW no Jimmys in 1969, only 70-72.
