Thumbs up 1970 Chevrolet - lifted 4x4 - old Georgia Power truck

seen today in Monroe, Georgia at the car show.

I overheard the owner talking with a fella about this truck when he was asked about the lift, suspension, etc.. He replied that it was originally a Georgia Power work truck and was ordered/bought/built for them like that. Anyway, I thought it was neat truck.

Nice truck for sure! But,I'd call that a "tall tale" (get it?). If that's a K/20,the factory never lifted them. If it's a Napco converted C/30 then it is possible. But again, that's aftermarket, too, but could be ordered that way new through the dealer. But,it would be a 133" WB truck.

Well... he didn't say it came from the factory/dealer like that... he said something to the effect of 'the company' had it done.

I had a notion maybe he worked for 'em... or the fella he was talking to did.

I was just passing by.

At any rate, I thought it was a stout looking and actually usable 4x4.

Well, nobody lifted trucks like that until the mid-70s. There weren't any tires made that big, yet. I still think it was yet another tall tale told around a show.
