Anybody here Bigred40?

Just curious. I'd really like to have won that booster and M/C you just sniped from me on eBay.

Not to open a can of worms, just curious if it went to somebody else on the board...

Re: Anybody here Bigred40?

Yeah, yeah, I know. Actually, it doesn't matter when he bid, it was more than I was willing to pay. Just frustrating when somebody else wins it for $.25 more than my max bid.

Re: Anybody here Bigred40?

I hate it too, but it's almost the ONLY way to win anything on ebay anymore. I really don't even bother bidding anymore, if it doesn't have a good BIN price with cheap shipping, I won't buy it.

Re: Anybody here Bigred40?

I don't understand the griping about "sniping". Just put in the max amount you're comfortable paying, and see what happens.

Re: Anybody here Bigred40?

It's aggravating because you lose it with five seconds left with no time to put in another bid. It's kind of like reaching to buy the last carton of milk at the grocery store and having somebody run by and grab it from you.

Re: Anybody here Bigred40?

I've bid on maybe a dozen things on e-bay and I tried that snipe tactic but it didn't work.I bid like 30 seconds before end time and it said "bidding has ended" like I was too late. The one time I did get a good deal, the lady refused my pay-pal saying her account had been "hacked".When I gave her a negative review she posted that I bounced a check and that I was the worst such and such.Crazy stuff.

I'm not griping about sniping, I'm venting about losing. I put in the most I was willing to pay, and somebody got it for a $.25 more than that. That's the frustrating part. As I said in the original post, I was really mostly curious if he was a member or not.
