Re: Thinking of buying this but is it worth the asking price?

From the pictures it looks like a straight solid truck. It appears the paint is peeling on the bed. Depending on how it looks underneath a far as rust issues. Going by the pictures and if runs good I would say the price is reasonable.

Looks pretty solid. If you make an offer stick with cash. If you do credit or debit the card company will take a percentage so he won't go as low. Offer him $4,500 and see what happens. Good luck!

Re: Thinking of buying this but is it worth the asking price?

My opinion is it seems like plenty of money for a truck that looks to need paint, something is up with the drivers door alignment. (lower corners are sticking out) missing some of the A/C stuff. Remember, paint is not cheap.

Re: Thinking of buying this but is it worth the asking price?

I noticed the Drivers door too. The pealing on the bed is just the clearcoat. If I get it all I would do is scuff the paint and shoot it flat black then just drive it. I need a driver while I finish my SWB. Im thinking of offering $4500.00 but wanted to see what some folks here thought first. I dont want to low ball him. I will pay for something if its worth it, I just dont know what this one is worth.

Re: Thinking of buying this but is it worth the asking price?

its a nice truck but i would not pay 6k for it. in those last pics you posted, it looks like there is rust in the driver door corner. so if there is no more rust assuming, you would at least have to repaint the door, the bed, and hood and reclear all of that. BUT, trusting his engine work, its basically a brand new motor and drivetrain. 4500 seems fair to me

Settle on the amount that you would be willing to pay (max). Offer him $4500 and see what he says. I think it's in great condition (especially compared to most trucks that are 'projects') and I would love to have a nice clean truck like that one.

Re: Thinking of buying this but is it worth the asking price?

For some reason that two tone green is growing on me. For the midwest that truck is in very good condition. I agree with others ... I would make an offer of $5000 and see where it goes ... but only offer $5k if you think it is worth that much to you. Looks like he has a lot of $$$ into this truck. Good Luck!
