4x4 conversion pics

I would like to see some pics of 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive. Looking for pics of actual conversions not just body swaps. I specifically want shots of the transfer case and in the cab where the shifters come through the floor. Thanks.

Re: 4x4 conversion pics

I used a NP 208 behind a 350 turbo. The shifter is from a Chevy 1990 ton NP 241. It was on driver side of hump. I turned it around and put it on the passenger side. I fabricate what ever I need. Lever position is in 2wd. Pulling it back takes to 4H, neutral and 4L. The Ford shifter has the correct pattern on it.

Re: 4x4 conversion pics

Here's my conversion, everything is original to the frame. If you doing an all original swap like I did, there not much stuff to worry about. There's stuff that you have to change like, shift linkage (possibly, I had to on my). Have to change the transmission tunnel unless you already have a manual. Cab mounts and dont buy the cheap ones from oreillys go to lmc and get there kit. I also had to change my radiator hose on the bottom. You will have to watch you distributor to cab clearence. axle with disc brake conversion is one of the best things you can do, it was the cheapest thing and easiest to install.

Re: 4x4 conversion pics

I like it MO, I picked up a SS 454 14 bolt G80 3.73 for mine and converted it to 6 lug and added rear disc brakes. 5 to 6 was less complicated when I also used a 1.5 inch hub centric spacer.
