Smile Another new guy

Hello,

Looks like a cool site to get some help from others that have been where I'm going. I'm resto customizing a '58 fleetside apache. I'm looking for some small odd and end parts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Trying to locate a heater box, I have the fan unit but not the distribution box. Most everything else I can buy new. I haven't got to tearing the truck completely down yet to see exactly what I'm missing. Truck is in pretty good shape with minimal rust. I'll try later to upload a couple pics of my truck but they are too large at the moment.

Greetings to all.

Re: Another new guy

Welcome to the board! Nice looking fleet, if you want to buy or sell you should pay the $25 for a year of buying and selling. I may even have some extra heater parts laying around if I look.
Good luck on the truck!

Shawn

Smile Re: Another new guy

Yes, the truck is pretty solid. It does need a little work on the floors but nothing the front patch panels wont fix. Also someone has cut the backside of the cab corners at an angle so I'm going to replace those also. The bed has no floor but I think I'm going to put a metal one in it instead of wood. Still trying to decide on a color scheme. I'm thinking of useing new leather interior for the seats and console. There are some really nice looking truck pics on this site. I wish I had my garage built so I could tear it all the way down. It's hard trying to keep the weather out and work on it also. Thanks for all the compliments on the truck. I hope to get it a little further along this summer. The truck will drive now but needs desperate brake work. It has an early 70's v8 and a 350 turbo tranny. I'm planning on rebuilding both for security and driveability.

Re: Another new guy

After a good Saturday this past weekend this is what the truck looks like now. We have a street rod national show this weekend I'm going to. I hope to pick up some more sheet metal to get started on the small amount of rust repair I need to do.

Re: Another new guy

Thanks for all the comments. I'm waiting on some sheet metal parts to come in to start on rust repair. Once that is finished I'm going to put my '79 camero front clip on with some help of a good friend. I'll get more pics at that point, or during rust repair.
