What size tires and wheels work best w/ 4in lift

I lifted my blazer 4in with new springs all around. But now, the old 31/10.50's just are not looking right. What combination of tires can I use with out having to cut the fenders. I have been toying around with 16's but I am not sure what size tire I could use. What sizes have you guys used?

Re: What size tires and wheels work best w/ 4in lift

The wheel size doesn't eefect the fitment as far as fender clearance, so I'd say a 33" tall will fit for sure and 35" tall tire might work if you don't wheel it extreme with a lot of suspension articulation or you might rub, but I am sure some of the experienced wheelers here will chime in and offer experienced suggestions. BTW 16" rubber is getting to be more common so wheels and tires should be reasonable, but 17, 18, 19" stuff gets spendy, just an FYI.

33 0r 35 12.50 tires should fit fine, depending on the intended use. Backspacing would come into play with the 35. You'd need to stay around the same as a stock ralley, maybe a little wider wheel. I don't have the body on yet but you can see my 35's on the stock ralleys in my build thread. Click the link below. Pics are a few pages back.

What's your intended use of the K5?

I temporarily have a set of 35"s on my 70 K5 with 4" lift springs and it is not a good fit on that vehicle but I had these same tires on a 69 K20 with a 4" lift and never had any rubbing just driving on the road - off road would have been a bit of rubbing I'm sure if it was crossed up. The 4" lifts were different brands and I'm guessing the K5's 4" lift isn't giving me an actual 4" lift.

I'd go with at least 33/12.50/15. 35 at the biggest. Later, Mario

Just my opinion, but this combo is a perfect fit.
