fuel tank for ls swap

Can I still us my stock tank with LS engine. If not is there another inexpensive option.

The LS engine requires a high pressure electric pump in the tank, an inline filter regulator(see pic) and a high pressure return line , but yes, if you install the fuel return bung and line into your existing tank you can use it. Good luck finding someone who will weld that bung in, though. That's a really good way to end up in a grave. It is safer to find an aftermarket tank set up for the LS engine or get a tank out of a later model truck that is already equipped that way.

I got a 2002 camaro tank with pump for 100$ it will fit under the bed behind axle with minimal work. Let me know and I'll grab some pics for you. Basically just have to remove the small bar on the top rail and move the rear frame member back a little trim a little off the BOTTOM of the frame rail and drill a hole through the frame for the filler. Then just mount it up with a couple pieces of aluminium strap from the hardware store

I found an old boat tank, added a baffle, made my own bung and welded it in. All you need is a couple of hole saws and a TIG welder.

Im using the stock in cab tank with an external electric fuel pump on a stock 5.3 set up and is working fine.
