help with 72 chevy

I was wondering what all I would need to do so I could convert my 8 lug 3/4 ton to 5 lug, it currently has floating axles and has coil spring suspension. Any thoughts on the subject will be helpful.

Buy a 5 lug truck (cheap rusty POS) and swap the suspension over to yours, that's how I did mine.

Yes as long as it is a coil to coil swap meaning don't buy a leaf sprung truck.... My 72 was 3/4 ton and I swapped over everything off a 72 half ton truck.....

There's always the parts board. Just put a Wanted To Buy. Lots of good parts in your neck of the woods.
