plug wire route ideas

since i removed the header wrap I need to re-route some or all of the plug wires....dude before me that built the motor routed then from the cap down the firewall across the frame and then to the plugs from under the headers.... I really don't like them that way..... really close to the headers and I am affraid too close.... so do most of you route them from the cap over the top of valve covers then straight down to plugs from the top...... I think that is the way I will go.... any other ideas I am not thinking about...

I run mine from the cap, down the back of the head and under the headers. Theyr'e cleaner this way, and you ddon't have to deal with wires if you remove the valve covers

Re: plug wire route ideas

hey thanks, that is a god look, I like it better than when you see the wires on top... so today i will redirect them under the headers and along the block, that means I only have to re-route like half the wires.....

Re: plug wire route ideas

I think I only paid about $40 for these, if I remember correctly. They are solid aluminum in two pieces on each side that "sandwich" the plug wires.

Pretty clean set up. And they give a lot of options as to length you want to pull out (through) the grooves to avoid headers, etc. Although I don't have any wires that
are closer than 3/4 inch to the headers (it looks closer in the pic.), I have some shields (look like socks) coming just for some extra safety.

Re: plug wire route ideas

^^^^^ I have the basically the same exact ones. They keep everything right where it's supposed to be and the wires never move. Perfect setup.....for me anyways.
