Oak Ridge, Tennessee. New in more ways than one!

Hey everyone! I'm hoping to gather ideas and info concerning a 1968 Chevy C20 that I have recently aquired in a vehicle trade. She's got a rough body but lord almighty, she's a raging bull on the road. This is the first carburetted vehicle I have ever owned. I have no idea what motor is in it (it's a granny geared 4 speed V-8 fleetside). The previous owner said there was a 350 under the hood, but to the best of my knowlege, a 350 wasn't an option in 68. Doesn't mean it's all 100% original but I hold his true knowlege of the vehicle, suspect. It's a running project with tons of character. I look forward to learning a metric a$$ load of info!

I think stock it probably would be a 327, however, like you said it may not be all stock. For instance I also have a '68 with the granny 4 speed and mine has a 350 transplant. If you get the casting #'s off of the block and post them on the engine and drivetrain section I am sure someone can help with what ya got.

By the way... Welcome aboard from Northern California!

Thanks for the warm welcome fellas. I appreciate it! I'll definitely give those casting numbers a look and research it.
