Im looking for pics of box fenders swapped from side they should be on - reversed or however you want to word it lol - for the first series pickup 47 - 55. I've seen some on here and cannot find them, kind of debating doing that for my build.

That was the only pic I got of this truck, primarily because of the fenders. I had never seen them put on that way and knew I'd never be able to explain it to anyone without visual aid.

It looks like it can't decide witch way to go. The height and length of the bed and wheel size don't help. but it does have a nice paint job.

I try not to speak ill of another mans taste in vehicles, BUT...

I've never really "gotten it" why some want to own a classic vehicle (any) and then modify it past the point of "personalization" to where it doesn't look like the original classic it was? This mod to me is border line like that. But I don't "get" tractor noses on rat rods or super severe top chops anyway!

It looks to me like the owner was going for the "Bobbed" look in the rear. If that was his intention, then I would say he did a nice job.

I don't hate it but because of the proportions (big tires, bed raised, etc.) it's hard to see the differences from stock without a bunch of angle shots.
I like that a simple change brings this type of reaction from the forum members but I'm sure he likes it and, hopefuily, that's all that matters to him.

I agree with Wybrow, it DOES look like a big "Hot Wheel" car! Cool!

Yeah that's why I think I'd be drawn to doing that fender swap is for the hot wheels kind of look, the raised box is cool too, never really thought about doing that, but kinda on my mind now too. I'll probably more decide when start throwing things in place still on the fence about it, I love the stock look tho too, but have another stock truck anyways so who knows might be cool to have both looks, its not like its going to be anything like original anyways. If anyone digs up more pictures it would be appreciated

On the red truck, that looks goofy, but I'm wondering if its sitting on a corvette drivetrain or something? Is the bed shorter than normal?

That and I'm usually not a fan of rims over 20" in diameter, especially on anything old.

Neat comparison of the SSR concept/original, but I really dont like the concept or the final piece. At least the concept had a grill and bumpers like the old truck. Wonder how many total they built?

The Green 03 SSR/53 is a 1 of 1.

The total run of the SSR's was 24,115 from 2003 to 2006.
