It just looks like a normal Andy aquistion. All of Andy's stuff ends up with teh front end all over the driveway.

Glad to see the swap starting. Can't wait to see the Longhorn get the donations from the burb.

after looking at this stuff, there isn't much there TO put under the longhorn.

Both lower control arms are bent and kerfageled, the ball joints are both looser than the screw in my head, both rotors are worn beyond servicibility.... all it has worth keeping, is a set of spindles.
68 front clip is goin on
1/2 ton with a slammed suspention going on
NFC who sent the flowers
haven't driven it since the 3 day weekend... what, 3, 4 weeks ago?
Front end parts all over the driveway.... only 3/4 my trucks ended up like that.. the other was done at work.

Fallin on may be a problem. When that dropped over a foot to the ground, I started to wonder how I'll get the other one up that far... my only jack can be seen in the background... and it sure as heck ain't gonna get it.
Red door is still on.... it gives it personality.

Andy, I used a motorcycle jack to get my crossmember back up on my frame. You can get a Craftsman one from Sears for about 80.00. Thats what I have. It makes putting bumpers and trans back in really easy.

Andy, my '67 front end looks very similar except I've still got the crossmember stuff all still connected. My trans grenaded on me and I suspect the rear main seal was going out several weeks before it went, so I just pulled the front clip off and pulled the engine/trans out through the front end. I'm going to completely detail the engine and engine compartment and align the fenders properly when it all goes back together. This thread reminds me that I'll need to take some pics.

I am highly considering a caddy swap.... some other time. I can sell off the engine mount frames and short water pump pullies and brackers, and that would more than pay for the caddy swap (including engine and tranny)
I have no interest in an LS type swap. I am low buck by nature, and low buck by the fact that I have few bucks.
My drop plans incorporate the 4 inch (truck) lowering springs for the rear that i got on here for $100 shipped, then up front some 3 inch drop springs and some 2 inch drop a arms.
That might be too much... I hope to drive it from here to the board meet like that, and by the time I get home... I'll know if it is too much. (I like livin on the edge)

you can make your own drop arms for WAY less. all you need is 6 1/2" of 6" well pipe, a cutoff wheel (about 8 or 9 to be excact), and a welder. this will net you a 5" drop yet keep the original spring rate.

mine were fronted to me with the promis of handing over $25 for the seller to become a subscribing member once I get them on. he had problems getting a ball joint to stay in.
So $25 is much cheaper than me trying to learn how to weld on an important piece.
