Betsie

Here is My 1966 c10. I hope to do a frame off restomod someday with a turbocharged 6.0l ls and a 4l60enor 4l80e but for now it is getting a sbc 355 and the stock trans. I am just going to rat rod this at this time.

I bought it off some guy who did not take care of her.

There was no bumper so I made some brackets at work and bought one. I am being cheap and didn’t want to buy one. Plus I love making thinks with my hands and think fabrication is awesome!

The grille is somewhat smashed. For now I will just rock it but I found a NOS one on ebay in the original package new.

Here is a engine I got off a guy that was remanufactured. I cleaned it up and painted it. I also inspected it to make sure it was good everything seems to be fine.

Here is the engine now. I changed intake, and valve covers.

I put the engine in the truck and also cleaned and painted the original trans. I also changed the inner fenders as they were rusted. There are other panels that needed replacing but for now this is what I have. I am having trouble getting the hood aligned properly. I think the hinges may be sprung because the hood was catching in the back.

Here are the rusted inner fenders vs the newer ones.

Here is the trans before cleaning it and after cleaning it.

I also cleaned the frame area somewhat anyway. It looked like the transmission. I need to get a power washer but I have been saving for a house with a garage and buying parts for the jewel. Lol

I have started on painting / rattle can job. Wish I had the time and money for everything but since I do not I figure I would do a 10 ft errr uh 30 ft paint job. I have yet to finish it.

Here is another with my night train.
